Hello Aspire,

Thank you for arranging this getaway to Cuba! Here's a brief description of my time there.

 

I had a wonderful relaxing time at the Iberostar in Veradero. It was just what I needed. Although my first time to Cuba I felt safe and relished the warmth of the people and the resort. It was well maintained, lots of activities planned daily if one cared to participate, beautiful long Beach perfect for my long stroll along the water's edge and collecting a few shells along the way....a piece of heaven! I took advantage of the spa services and enjoyed a couple of massages and lots of pool areas where I could escape to a quiet place.  

 

I went with the expectation of not-so-good food in Cuba but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed a variety of options to my liking.  

 

Right there on the beach there you could take advantage of boating activities and at the resort lots of info on various excursions...tough to choose which to do. I decided on the day trip to Old Havana (did you know it has been declared by an international organization as one of the few World Heritage Sites?) you feel like you're back in time with the grand structures currently under restoration many completed and back to the original form). New Havana was interesting also and it's interesting how most of their cars are old Pontiacs also restored, I've never seen so many in one place..a reflection of their history with the USA when things were better between them.  

 

A very interesting Island indeed.
