Are you looking for something a little different from the traditional "All Inclusive" vacation south?
A southern Caribbean Island with European Flare. It is the largest of the ABC Islands and along with Aruba is a constituent country of the Netherlands. If you have a look at the architecture in Wilemstad, you can see the dutch influence as plain as day. (Tall and skinny buildings)
Food
Although there is one All-Inclusive property on the island for those who prefer to pay for their holiday upfront, AI is not necessarily the way to experience Curacao. Curacao is a culinary destination as there are more then 50 nationalities that have had a substantial influence on the culture. An evening out on Curaco is all about the food and perhaps a little music.....
Music
There are multiple music festivals that are hosted here. In September there is the
North Sea Jazz Festival. Get your tickets now. It is world reknowned! The
Blue Seas Festival is an up and coming festival that has had HUGE success. If you are looking to see what kind of nightlife is available, check out
Curacao Party Guide. There seems to be something going on for everyone!
Diving
We have talked about
Food and
Music, now let's talk about
Diving!!! If you google image Curacao, the pictures that come up showcase the over 65 registered dive and snorkel sites. The underwater world here is spectacular! If this is what you want to do in Curacao then finding a dive shop will be no issue. Quality shops are everywhere. I can even find a great resort option with a dive shop onsight!
Accomodations
The only All Inclusive option on the island is
Sunscape Curacao Resort
(There may be other beautiful hotel options that offer food/beverage packages however not all guests are on the package. One of the biggest complaints that I have received is that the "All inclusive" Guests don't receive the same level of customer service. Let's discuss this and your other options before booking)
The great thing about the accomodations in Curacao is that you can make arrangements at the resorts to have multiple bedroom villas with full kitchens! It really encourages families and friends to travel and vacation together.
My feature hotel - Acoya Hotel
Is the Newest hotel on the island and it has stunning Pool Villas, a Dive Centre (Buddy UP) and an amazing restaurant and bar selection.
The Acoya has a full service Health and Wellness centre that includes The Lotus Spa, Physiotherapy, Massage, Yoga/Mediation and so much more!
I am a pool person and that infinity pool is AMAZING!!!
There is an assortment of rooms to choose from. Standard Rooms, Suites and Villas (1 or 2 or 3 Bedroom Villas)!
How about a villa with a full Kitchen? What a great way to spend time on the island with friends!

A couple of other options that are worth looking at!
-
Livingstone (1 and 2 Bedroom Villas and Casitas with full kitchens)
-
Papagayo (2+3+4 Bedroom villas with onsite super market).
